Hendren Associates Architects & Planners located in Boston, MA is seeking a full time Architectural Designer.

Job duties: Under direct supervision of licensed architect, research, plan and formulate design proposals and prepare construction documentation in architectural and urban design projects. Specially,

Create 3D rendering drawings & documents, and prepare reports including area calculations, quantity take-offs, material schedules & development trends to meet functional, spatial & aesthetic needs of clients concerning of construction procedures, code, material requirements by computer-assisted design software.
Using created 3D drawings to communicate design concepts to clients, community members and city/state officials for the purpose of advancing projects through permitting process toward construction.
Represent Architect on construction site, ensuring builder compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections, under Architect’s supervision.
Help Architect analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural design.
Responsible for maintaining drawing standards, consistency, and draftsmanship quality of the job, conducting and developing graphic presentations for the client and users by using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
Perform other job duties as assigned including attendance of professional development workshops and staff coordination meetings.

Job requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related.
Proficient in using AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
License is not required.
